I enjoyed it when I went but saw they recently annouced a Lithuanian-Indian fusion menu I can find no details about (???)

the process of rendering, slicing and printing on a decent printer* is generally now easier than trying to get a 2D printer to do what you want. You need to know what the printer wants from you, but the hard stuff is abstracted away just enough

and the evolution of 3D printing from CNC machines and the RepRap project means that most printers remain consumer-repairable, consumer-upgradeable and in many cases are able to print their own spare parts

as someone whose phd work revolves around them: yes! but also in the last decade there's been amazing progress in lowering the barrier to entry

one of our partners in Tanzania used to make their own 3D printers out of scrap metal and can now buy them at a reasonable price
