–because he just thinks they're all just "weird ass dreams". the universe is trying to make him remember, to unlock memories of the past, and yet for whatever reason he just. doesn't. not out of refusal there's just something that just will Not let those memories come back to his head.

like him getting weird feelings of deja vu out of nowhere because what he may be doing at the time was similar to something he did during that period even though he swears he never did that before. nightmares that are actually just flashbacks but he always shrugs them off if he remembers them–
