People get to choose how to make their bag and I get it, the landscape is already fucked. But it seems incredibly short sighted and detrimental to the industry. It is a giant bummer to see my old VO coach on their website promoting their shit.

You're losing all control of your voice, you're diminishing the value of your voice, you're diminishing the value of other voice actors for what? If you're lucky maybe a few hundred bucks a month.

Here's the thing: as I said, VO pay is already garbage 99% of the time. AI voice pay is fractional of that. You have no control who uses your voice and for what. You could become the voice of right wing ads and have no idea.

If you don't think about it too much, this sounds kinda great. You easily send in 100 auditions to land one VO gig that pays abysmally and that is hours and hours of work. Why wouldn't you want to join this cutting edge way to make money off your voice? Why not wake up to a paycheck?

I'd record some stuff for them to create a speech to text generator for my voice and when clients used my "voice" I'd get paid for it. Very, very little. The idea was that I wouldn't have to audition or spend hours recording anymore, I'd just randomly get paid here and there.

I think you're 100% right on that. Fujimoto's pacing is kind of brutal week to week. I read most of Fire Punch in a day and I'm kinda bummed I can't get that experience with Chainsaw Man

The vE part is in Marathon but feels not quite there yet, so I think everyone focuses on team fights and it makes it very sweaty. I’d love more moments of running into other people and agreeing it is more beneficial to team up for loot. If they wanna betray me after, that can be fun too lol
