What did I learn in 30 years as a surgeon?
Pain isn't what we see, it's what we feel.
Pain can keep us safe from harm, but if it overstays its welcome, Pain becomes the harm.
And surgeons be warned, Pain can't always be reached through the tip of a scalpel.

Today, this skirmish counts as a win for democracy. The battle for the Rule of Law lies ahead.

Senator Cory Booker just broke Strom Thurmond's record, 24 hours, at the podium. A Black man speaking to elevate the rights of all, breaking the record of a White man who spoke to oppose the Voting and Civil Rights acts.

This Paul Weiss capitulation is the most disgraceful action by a major law firm in my lifetime, so appalling that I couldn’t believe it at first.
