The military position is interesting. I think the crux of the issue is with little Peter. Gotta focus on the midterms. Vote maga supporters out of office. The only near term solution.

It doesn’t make any difference what republicans say or do or the actions taken. The goal is for the government, the media and the people to be subservient to Trump. It really doesn’t make any difference in the lives lost or destruction caused. So long there is media moment that shows T saving us all

That’s great when a current event can be tied to real life situations. Does the middle school also tie in critical thinking modules? I looked at our middle school curriculum, only one mention of critical thinking. Doesn’t mean it’s not done, just not a primary focus. More looking on my part.

I look at two referendums. One against Trump and the other for MAGA or the Unitary State. Both are troubling.

Not voting is an issue country wide. My ignorant view is that education lacks a strong universal focus on classroom civics accompanied by critical thinking. The result is learning issues by sound bite, keeping knowledge shallow. Requiring a long term change in education.

From what I can determine (web search, search of govt laws and chatGPT) it looks like congress needs to show up with a quorum to legally carry out business... So, looks like only 9 republicans need to get serious. This can take place without the speaker calling a session.

So keeping your statement in mind I stumbled on this article stating that if members of the house show up it’s in session. They don’t have to be “called” back. Once in session only 6 representatives are needed to oust and select a new speaker.

That Reg is the question! Not the congressional expert. However, if mechanisms are not in place then congress can develop such instruments. The people’s role is to make this happen. Make it a campaign issue to support legislation.
