It’s my understanding that Nixon never favored the Werner Von Braun/Apollo model. He instead advocated for the X-15 model which post-Apollo became the Shuttle program with his backing. Hence the cancellation of Apollos 18, 19 and 20.

But he was not a fan. It was Kennedy’s program and he axed Apollo 18, 19 & 20.

Exactly. It’s the national repository for every new book published in the US. In return, each book gets its own LoC number, which publishers will consider essential.
