Counter question: has the manager of a hospital ever performed surgery himself? Has the manager of Ford ever built a car himself? So it's not quite as simple as your question implies. But yes, as a manager, you should at least have a feel for what you are managing.

They pay for public transport because the rail network is larger, they have more trains and carriages and signal boxes and more staff overall in the whole COUNTRY than you have in your CITY, where you can apparently travel for free. Strange and very unworldly question...

PS.: Das sind alles Daten, die bei einer Ticketbuchung abgefragt und an Quantas übermittelt werden. Vermutlich noch mehr. Diese Daten sind nun im Netz, nicht nur, dass du von Singapur nach Perth geflogen bist.

This is a prime example of how little companies care about handling personal customer data sensitively. And if the company is fined for data protection violations, the money goes to the state, of course, and not to the victims whose personal data is now public.
