What does Dobbie mean in this context? The reason I ask is that there is a street in Glasgow called Dobbies Loan.

I remember going to see Ricky Ross and Doctor Love a few times in the early 80s as an early version of Deacon Blue. Once in a downstairs venue off Ingram Street. Another time was at The Cotton Club near the art school. I think that was the night some London based agents were coming up to sign them.

I haven't seen any names mentioned but we've booked tickets already. Should be a great night!

Agreed, there are a number of big name bands and musicians that I think I OD'd on maybe 20 or 30 years ago. People like Bowie, Zeppelin and so on. I maybe drop in one or twice a year to listen to them and feel that I've satisfied that itch for another while.
