Not all are so innocent. When I was about 8 or 9, I was riding my bike and I crossed over into the "White" neighborhood by the park, and a kid about 5 or 6 was sitting in his front yard playing, looked at me and called me the "N" word.

I knew a guy who sold cars. People bought based on the payment amount. He would ask people if a particular amount was feasible, and then he would ask them to increase their down payment by $500. He would then change the term from 3 years to 5 years to lower the payment.

An expression used in the Army was "Duds Kill". A "Dud" is normally an unexploded piece of ordinance that can explode at any time. It also refers to an idiot who doesn't follow rules and makes stupid decisions, which gets others killed.
