Tariffs = Taxes, and Trump has just raised taxes by a lot. I get that many of you dislike our often-measured approach, but I think we were appropriately plain-spoken here, leading the home page right now.

The federal Office of Personnel Management hereby invites federal employees who are disabled or have a qualifying medical condition to not return to the office 5 days per week. Who are the refugees in your family? I married into a family of Holocaust survivors. Grandma Hana just died, and her various grandchildren have become a cop, taught preschool, won a Pulitzer Prize for exposing Harvey Weinstein's misdeeds and paid millions in taxes. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/20/u...
