Fun story the reason people do this is that recipes can only be copyrighted if accompanied by “significant text”. So it’s to prevent bots from stripping recipes that people—often women—spend time creating and perfecting and then post FOR FREE. The people posting recipes get paid by ads.

Is this due to COVID infections messing up our immune systems, making us more susceptible to these infections? I can’t find great data on this one way or another.
