@henryrollins21361.bsky.social I teach high school. For 3 weeks a student bullied me. I kept teaching. I reported each incident. 1 day he swore aloud & used the N word in class. I said Don't say N***** here. He cheered and then complained. I will be punished as a racist who harmed students. Angry.

Substitute taught at a high school yesterday for students who have just been informed the windows of opportunity have been narrowed re: DEI going away and the purge of officials who would abide by the rule of law.

A 13 year old girl of Chinese descent, my neighbor, was assaulted yesterday by another child mouthing Trump racial, anti-immigrant bull. Further, the bully said she could do what she wanted because no one would care. I am doing what I can to prevent it again but is this what is in store for us?

Take batteries out of computer mouse. Take new batteries out of package. Throw the new batteries away and replace the dead batteries in the mouse. Monday's job well done.
