Thanks for asking the difficult questions about Partey to Arteta directly, James

I know it's not easy but thank you for having the courage & the follow through based on what you spoke in the podcast

Thank you for having the principle and moral courage. My apologies if I insinuated you wouldn't 🙏

Precisely

I wholeheartedly agree
July 7, 2025 at 4:33 PM
Don't evade. I wasn't being rude to James and my lack of previous posts shouldn't detract you from answering.

"Well, it's clear, isn't it?" isn't evidence

Again, what is the evidence?

Be precise
July 7, 2025 at 4:29 PM
What evidence did Arsenal hide from in anonymity?

Be precise
July 7, 2025 at 4:14 PM
False equivalence

If we think there's a problem with justice being not met by institutions, we have to address them

Taking things in our hands is not the way moving forward as a civilization
July 7, 2025 at 3:47 PM
Okay, thanks for your answer
July 7, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Again I'm not a lawyer. Give an explicit legal reason why you would be suspended, and how this is similar to Partey. Be precise

Seeing it happen doesn't mean it's the same

No two cases are alike

Greenwood wasn't even brought to court but he was rightly suspended because of explicit evidence
July 7, 2025 at 3:40 PM
Agreed Arsenal as a club should've done better

Like Andrew put it, we lost our moral compass

We can be critical of our club

But also try to understand decisions are not clearly black and white, and unfair to swiftly judge specific individuals on poor moral judgment

It's not so simple
July 7, 2025 at 3:35 PM
I'm not sure, I have to ask a lawyer

There are laws for us to conduct and abide with in regards to these matters

But I definitely do know journalists and the media knew what NOT do in this whole Partey affair before he was charged

So yeah, there is due process that we need to trust in
July 7, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Like I said, we're not privy to what's happening behind the scenes

Would you blame Wenger when Graham Stack was actually charged with rape in 2004?

We kept him in the books until 2006. He was cleared of those charges in 2005

Partey was charged when he wasn't even an Arsenal player. Again, nuances
July 7, 2025 at 3:25 PM
But they're not guilty either

For now at least

That's why we have due process
July 7, 2025 at 3:01 PM
Thanks for the reply, James

I'm sorry if I came out harshly

Just trying to see all perspectives. Maybe to give the club, an opportunity to voice (and they should) before we lay it out on them

But on the surface, this whole incident leaves a very sour note

But like all things, are deeply nuanced
July 7, 2025 at 2:42 PM
Like Andrew mentioned, maybe it's best the League have protocols in the matters

Because let's be fair, opposition fans don't give to hoots about the victims

It's just more ammunition & opportunity for villifying others and signalling they're are better

Just toxic

Football deserves better
July 7, 2025 at 2:37 PM
I'm sorry if I'm coming across harshly

But navigating these matters are extremely difficult

Look at the legal trapwires all of us had to be weary just in having a discussion about this. Try to understand at least.

All the more reason why things have to be more nuanced and avoid blame
July 7, 2025 at 2:34 PM
And also about how you mentioned Artera wanted to hound Auba and Ozil out of the club

Auba and Ozil were not showing any acceptable professional conduct as Arsenal players while at work and in training

Not because they've alleged to have done something off the pitch.

Big difference
July 7, 2025 at 2:30 PM
It's much harder to stand on principles and getting pelters from everyone, than taking the easy route and vilifying your player just to get brownie points

Partey wasn't exactly pulling trees as Arsenal player either

Try to make sense
July 7, 2025 at 2:26 PM
I get that there's a moral obligation from the club

But try to see it from Arteta's view

Without any evidence and with Partey claiming innocence to him, surely he has to be loyal & back him as a player & person

When everyone's hounding you, don't you back someone until the evidence is clear?
July 7, 2025 at 2:24 PM
Isn't there why there's due process in the first place? Not to our whims & fancies

Thought @arseblog.bsky.social handled it pretty well without resorting to signalling

As Andrew mentioned, I agree we lost our moral compass here. Could've done better

But you're wrong to pile it on Arteta, James
July 7, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Or it's situational?

Also, this isn't the first time for Arsenal

Graham Stack was accused of rape and SA but was cleared of all charges

Just listen to his interview what he went all through during his ordeal if it's still up in the internet

www.theguardian.com/football/200...
Stack cleared in sex case
Arsenal keeper Graham Stack has been cleared of raping and sexually assaulting a 22-year-old after a night out in the West End last year.

It's one thing to signal something on a podcast & lay it out on Arteta

James is in close correspondence with Arsenal as a journalist

Does he have the moral courage like he accused Arteta of, when he meets him at next press conference?

Will legality come into play then, James?
July 7, 2025 at 2:13 PM
Not trying to diminish alleged crimes in anyway

But we have absolutely no clue what's going on behind the scenes with all the legal caveats

Why you're piling it on Arteta as if this is all his fault, James?
July 7, 2025 at 2:12 PM
First of all, thank you Andrew and James for bringing this issue up and having this difficult conversation

It's sad for us fans to go through this and seeing this unfortunate situation unfold

However, I do not agree with @gunnerblog.bsky.social on his stance on Arteta & indirectly blaming him
