Professional cartographer; semi-professional board game designer. My latest game is Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』released by itten at Tokyo Game Market 2025.
I was hoping to find the Scottish UFO researcher with whom I share a name, but this will do.

And somehow, still less frightening than Woody.

Neither glock or glockenspiel will protect you when Woody appears in your back yard.

I recently reinforced the key rule in my baseball game Hits & Outs because some people have been deliberately choosing to ignore it, even though the rules are clear that it's not optional. They justify it by saying that they don't like bluffing, or are not well-versed enough to make smart decisions.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that the first Korean review of Hits & Outs is a positive one. 😎

The 'Cats are down by three in the last inning of the『ヒット&アウト』championship. Their best hitter is standing in the on-deck circle, getting ready to step up to the plate with the bases loaded. What's this?!? He's asking for his special home run bat!!! 🙀

Thanks for the treat, @itten-games.bsky.social!

I was fairly zen too until I found out this morning that IKF was told to stay close to third in case Varsho hit a line drive to the left side of the infield. You know, that same Varsho that pulls the ball on a regular basis and didn't line out to the left side of the infield ONCE all season.

Whoever told IKF to stay close to third to avoid getting doubled-up on a line drive by Varsho to 3B/SS cost the Jays the World Series. Fun fact: Varsho didn't line out to the left side of the infield all season, but had PLENTY of ground balls to the right side. What'd he do? 🤬 #WorldSeries #BlueJays

Essen loot! How many of these games do you know?

It's obviously a very small sample size, but it's encouraging to see that Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』is doing well on Bodoge Hoobby, a.k.a. Japanese BoardGameGeek. It finished second in last month's "fun games for 2 players" poll, only behind Battle Line -- Knizia's highest-rated 2 player game on BGG!

A couple of recent Hang it in the Louvre / Accidental Renaissance quality photos of Hits & Outs (ヒット&アウト) shared on social media.

SPIEL Essen starts a month from tomorrow! And I'll be there for the first time, representing Bucaneiros Jogos in the eternal search for publishing partnerships! We have TEN new pocket card games by Brazilian designers to offer, so send me a message if you would like information about them!

Hits & Outs entered the BoardGameGeek rankings at #39 of the 51 games in the "Sports: Baseball" family! ⚾️😎

Hits & Outs『ヒット&アウト』is one rating away from entering the BoardGameGeek rankings! I was surprised to find out that only 50 ranked games (out of nearly 29,000) are related to baseball -- fewer if you exclude versions of Monopoly, Dobble, etc. where you don't actually play baseball

"A god-tier game I want all of humanity to play." is NOT a compliment I was expecting.

Unexpected side effect; now I have to take an extra millisecond on my feed to differentiate box art from advertisements.

It's a small thing, but I'm very pleased that someone put full boxscores of Hits & Outs (ヒット&アウト) on BoardGameGeek for the first time! ☺️
