Author, theatre historian and drama critic. Recovering actor.
“Gin Game” was an example of two actors at the Rey top of their game. I also saw their last two-hander and the finale to their careers, “The Petition.” I attended the closing performance of what they’d announced would be the last time would ever appear on stage together. So memorable.

There’s something about Skarsgard’s performance I cannot shake. He achieved a level of great acting without lines than by speaking which, to me, is something of the ultimate test.

I’ve been trying to find evidence stared in this obit that Eileen Fulton really did do “Virginia Wolf” by day and “The Fantasticks” by night and I’m not finding it. I have a feeling a publicist dreamed this up. Factually, she did “Fantasticks” prior to being hired for “VW.”

My book “The Show Goes On: Broadway Hirings, Firings and Replacements” is right up your alley, Jan. It deserves a place on your theatre bookshelf.

What a disappointment this guy turned out to be. Totally unfit for the office (although he kept Oz out, even more unfit, if possible).

Although he’s only one of its producers, this feels like such a Clooney move. Smart, judicious, and a means to get the play’s message to a massive audience at an important time in our country’s history.

Nothing worse than this one. Can you imagine what he REALLY said about this abomination after the party?
