Terrible bike infrastructure unfortunately

Ah very good, I have a R&M multicharger, I think I read on the manual It's general lifespan is 30km but I'd have to double check

That's some going! Hows the Bosch motor holding up?

Looks great. I'm jealous!

You could easily add a few Cork bike lanes to that. Bike lane on model farm road up by Mount Mercey School is just downright dangerous

This is fantastic, I regularly go to PUC and have been always frustrated with the lack of bike parking infrastructure. 32 bike stands is a reasonable start.hopefully similar stands can be installed at 4 sides of the stadium. There's ample space all around the stadium

I'd to drive up to the big smoke this afternoon, christ it was painful having to go thru the dunkettle, traffic backed up to no end.

Carrot and stick. The carrot is build protected and connected bike infrastructure, bike. The stick is make driving more undesirable. Remove on street parking, enforce road traffic laws, better public transport, more park and ride facilities etc.
More people would cycle then!!

I hear ya!Real political will is required for change.Lack of ambition in real improvements in rail/light rail, buses, cycling infrastructure is demoralizing. This certainly hasn't happened with previous governments.Have i faith in the opposition if they get in government probably not unfortunately.

Decent piece above ex TD Ciaran Cannon discussing AGS newest but pretty lousy hi vis wearing cycling campaign

NIMBYism at its finest.

Motornormativity is imbedded for n ireland unfortunately

This area badly needs medium density apartment complex's. Hopefully a lot more to come

We live in a car centric culture with too little appetite to change from the public or our councils/government. Traffic enforcement is a small fraction what it should be is such a wealthy country we live in.
November 4, 2025 at 6:22 PM
The best way to combat hikes is to ultimately reduce car dependency.A robust public transport system and network of protected cycling infrastructure would go along way at least for urban dwellers. I won't hold my breath!

Great article

Pathetic stuff from Ganley
October 17, 2025 at 9:09 PM
Couldn't agree more. Cycling as a mode of transport getting from A to B on protected cycle lanes in urban environments should be the priority

Rest in peace to all those people. Least not we forget also the people that suffered serious and life changing injuries involving vehicles.

Bizarre article

We sure can!

A stupid driver in a small car causes less damage/injuries/fatalities than a stupid driver in an SUV. Significantly Increasing tax on SUV will at least encourage the stupid driver to drive a small, more practical car
September 10, 2025 at 6:54 PM
SUVs are completely unnecessary in urban environments. People should be free to buy these things if they wish but they should be taxed heavily and hopefully disencentivize people to buy them. Data driving evidence has proven the many downsides of owning an SUV
