this makes a ton of sense since most people are drawn to SFFH for those elements. like no one sits around thinking "wow lotr has such great character motivation and that's why i love it." but as a result, moving from fan to writer often leaves some specific gaps in how we understand story.

i get so many clients in with pages and pages of worldbuilding, lore, mythology--but who have never thought about what their character wants in the story.

i didn't know it was a poem adaptation! that makes sense. and i would argue that the music is trying to lift but is not hitting. the vocal performances are meh!
