I think the motorist in that case is either selfish or ignorant. The straight on light will turn green eventually (after about 15-30 seconds I guess) in that case and everyone can then proceed. There's a similar situation at the junction of Lavitt's Quay and Christy Ring Bridge

I would go into primary position in the left lane all the way to the next junction. There's a whole other lane if someone wants to overtake. The Nissan probably assumed you were staying in the right lane in the clip. Not sure why you were beeped at previously
