Katrina Murray, MP for Cumbernauld and Kirkintilloch supported this disastrous Welfare Bill from the very start - shame on her.

Labour have shown their true colours. With the limited powers of Scottish Parliament, the SNP government can step in to protect local disabled people.

Last summer, ScotRail removed Bishopbriggs and Lenzie from the Edinburgh service due to driver shortages, significantly impacting local commuters.

Today, I asked Cabinet Minister to confirm if driver numbers have recovered to prevent a repeat of such timetable reductions.

Labour’s first year in government has proven one thing - they might have changed the faces in Downing Street, but they have continued Tory austerity.

The SNP will never stand by while families suffer. We will always act to protect the most vulnerable and deliver for the people of Scotland.

Under John Swinney, the SNP has made eradicating child poverty its top priority. Scotland is the only part of the UK where child poverty is expected to fall as a direct result of SNP policies.

All we are getting from the UK Labour government on the cruel two-child cap is more empty rhetoric.

Great to catch up with the wonderful Robert Smith of Group Recovery Aftercare Community Enterprise (GRACE) at Parliament today.

With Robert at its helm, GRACE, a peer-led group based in Kirkintilloch, has done wonders to help people in my constituency suffering from life trauma.

Today, I asked The Scottish Government how much East Dunbartonshire Council has spent on PFI contracts in the past year.

Find out what the Minister said, here.

Labour's disastrous PFI legacies and the national insurance hike attacks on jobs is placing a burden on councils throughout Scotland.

PFI schemes cost East Dunbartonshire Council £18.8 million last year - and even more next year. 👇

What a charge to the taxpayer from these decades-old Labour and Tory deals.

The SNP scrapped PFI – but these contracts are still in place – costing Scottish councils half a billion pounds this year.

Everyone should have a warm, safe and affordable home. Under this SNP government we're working to ensure those who need it most have access to housing.

I'm proud Scotland continues to invest more per person than any other UK nation to tackle homelessness and help people stay in their own homes.

A networking and information coffee morning is being hosted by Business Gateway East Dunbartonshire next week.

A great way for local businesses to connect.

Today I asked the Scottish Government what the estimated cost would be of permanently extending free rail travel to companions of Blind Persons National Entitlement Card holders, in light of the campaigning by Sight Scotland and Deafblind Scotland, the latter's HQ is in my constituency.

More than 2.7m free bus journeys have been made in East Dunbartonshire since the SNP Scottish Government
introduced free bus travel for under 22s, three years ago.

Scotland is the only part of the UK to offer this, benefiting young people travelling to their place of work or study.

Almost £12 million in Scottish Child Payments have been delivered in East Dunbartonshire since 2021.

This has helped almost 3,800 children - providing vital support for local families who need it.

That's the difference an SNP Scottish Government makes as we work towards eradicating child poverty.
