I would feel much more favorable toward AI if there were a way to say, "yes, I shopped for that thing, and purchased it. Please stop showing me ads for THE THING I NOW OWN." Especially when the ads come from the store I purchased from. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Who else had a fun home (near) disaster for the holiday week? We found a bunch of water under our hot water heater (thankfully in the garage). Had some pretty good "oh no" moments before realizing that it was just the pipe leading from the hot water circulator. Phewf, and a $40 fix.

UPS Delivery attempt, I'm not home (Sig req'd). Through Ring, I tell Delivery Guy (who I know personally) I'll be home in 2 days. He says "great, we'll hold it." Home now, trying to find package. UPS says "we have no idea where it is; contact sender & have them open a tracking ticket." What??

Getting a big reprieve today! Our annual Turkey Bowl (organized by hub's nieces and nephews) is today. Was not looking forward to the very maga BILs (2 of them) being here.

Every few years I give in to a winter indulgence from childhood. The most ludicrously rich hot buttered rum fixin’s (butter, brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla ice cream); a dollop in cup of hot water w/a shot of rum (works w/o rum for kids-we called them ‘hot-buttereds’) I made a batch today!

I’d like to rejoice in the fact that most of my RWNJ in-laws are on Medicare & they’re going to whine about Medicare cuts in 2026. I’d like to, but *I* will be 65 in 2026 so it’s going to hurt me at the same time it hurts them. I feel like I should get at least 1 year of gloating.

Social media is weird! I saw that someone had made a very kind response to one of my (very few) posts, and I was going to respond. Now I can't see his reply, and when I searched for him I see that his account has been suspended! I guess he wasn't kind to everyone??? 🤷♀️

he's going to make the economy perfect;
the great 'deportation scheme' will fix all the woes;
Christianity should be taught in all schools.
They have used the word 'libtard' to my face.
