Gorgeous!!!!

I am the same in the opposite direction- having moved to first England and then later the Midwest from Pakistan. The merest hint of heat and I'm putting the fan on and the AC, when my paler more western relatives are all going it's lovely and warm isn't it?

When I was a kid in Pakistan we were driving behind a beautiful truck* with this /amazing/ couplet (in Urdu):

O flower, to my flower send this flower.
Say that your flower has sent this flower.

That was better than this drek.

*We decorate our trucks like they're bridal horses - very gaudy.

Is there any evidence that dyslexic kids have struggle less than in previous decades under this system?

I'm not dyslexic but my stepmother is. I know how much she struggled as a kid.

I learned via phonics, I think, so I'm trying not to default to the middle-aged "if it was good enough for me..."

I spent the day unsubscribing from all Democratic aligned begging emails with a sharp note as to why. No money. None. Can't afford it.

A petty action, but momentarily satisfying.
