Gerrymandering has really hurt the Dems. But too many Dem candidates also stopped reaching out to people who no longer vote for the Dem ticket. Too many voters in too many communities think Dems don’t care about their problems, don’t relate to their concerns and have no solutions

She worked in a bi-partisan manner to secure new fighter jets for Selfridge Air National Guard Base, securing its future and supporting all the jobs related to that base. Yes, Trump saying that may be an issue for her but she put the interests of the region and state before those concerns.

Dems stopped really connecting with people like this years ago. Trump talks to them, offers “solutions echoed by right wing media,” and they buy it. Dems have no one else to blame but themselves for losing these people and their votes.

How can the Dems better rally voters, especially independents and Trump voters, who feel abandoned by the party? People are very frustrated so far with the response from congress and the disjointed, ineffective, or vacant messaging coming from Dems.

100% agree. Successful Dem candidates who outperformed Harris have all talked about their outreach to all voters, including Trump voters. This dialogue built relationships & allowed them to talk about the issues their voters care most about. Too many voters feel abandoned by one party or the other
