Alice is pooped after a summer of evenings climbing in the garden and surveilling the neighbours.
She's now bedding down for Autumn in my craft room.
Hope I can divert her from her yearly SAD in winter.

Last night I watched The Electrical life of Louis Wain. As an antidote to my anger/anguish over Ukraine/Gaza/Trump/Putin.
Beautiful & heartbreaking. It didn't have the desired affect on my spirits.
But thankful to Louis for normalising cats as pets. Which made Alice & Phoebe possible in my life.

I grew up with the Brutalist York University in England on my doorstep. A few minutes walk from my house in Heslington village. My friends and I found many hours of fun playing amongst the unusual and interesting buildings. I guess beautiful in some way but not for homes.

Alice just loves playing hide and seek.

Alice always takes some contemplation then encouragement from Phoebe, then a firm nudge from me.
Alice actually loves being out more than Phoebe, but starts off cautious.

Absolutely gorgeous Cleopatra! Forehead boops are the best. An affirmative request for kisses makes my heart swell. My Alice is 10 in a week and a half. I can't bear her getting older!

Both girls are the same age, but as always it's baby Phoebe who never grew out of kittenhood who likes to play with new Xmas toys. Whack a mole!
