I said yesterday that with every passing day it feels like we're background characters in a DC movie supervillain's story arc, and now I don't know what movie we're in.

The weather app that comes with my phone is saying it's cloudy with 8km/hr wind right now.

First year doing the #OscarsDeathRace and I must say, it's kept me sane and brought me a little joy through the news cycle.

When I watch the Oscars I know a fraction of the films nominated, let alone the Documentaries, Internationals, and Shorts.

I decided I'd watch as many as I can before the awards—and it's been great. The Shorts were especially delightful, a shame I've overlooked them. They're hard to find, though!

And pardon me, but if I were at the head of a multibillion dollar corporation, and a think tank with this Microsoft Paint logo handed me a proposal, I would have a hard time taking it seriously.

Six and a half years later, and this gem of a Calgary library still makes me stop in my tracks every time to just take it in for a moment.

This Calgary Herald opinion column's metadata is making the headline on Google Search show up as, "Calgary's Bike Lane Agenda Will Bankrupt Us".

A subtle way news orgs set out to achieve different reactions from their audience. #cdnnews #yyccc

In the last year I've enthusiastically leaned into film and TV, finding I'm fascinated by the backstories of what it takes to produce them. But now I've found out I have to live for over a millennium to watch it all. At this rate I'll never finish, a real problem!

If Threads and Mastodon will be interoperable, what does this mean for Bluesky? It'll be a draw to bring the two worlds together, where you can choose to be within the safety of Mastodon but still interact with all of your more normie buds.

Suuuuuper interesting.
