It's interesting that neither Fanhome or even STO has a 100% accurate version of the 25th century nacelles on the Stargazer, Titan-A/Enterprise G, and Duderstadt. They all lack the grid texture on the dark areas of the nacelles. #StarTrek

During one of my rants against Trump back in 2016/2017 with my family, I was asked why I hated him so much. My reply: because he's everything I was raised NOT to be. He is a person I would never interact with willingly, nor would want anyone I cared about to interact with. He's a garbage human.

Happy New Year y'all! Doing some new year computer cleaning, and I found this lovely gem from #StarTrek #Picard Season 3. These are all the different AOVs for the Titan-A and the Eleos. I worked with our comp supervisor to figure out what AOVs they needed and here they are! #VFX

Since we're looking at nacelles... here's some close-up of the bussards. There's an outer cover which is translucent. The grill just inside as an emissive animated texture. And then the bulbs inside are actually exceedingly bright, & have some spinny bits there. #StarTrek #Picard #Starships

Something you don't see everyday: Close-ups of the nacelles of the Neo Constitution Class. Something that STO, Fanhome, and most everyone else misses, is the pattern on the dark portions of the nacelles. It's not just gray paneling, it's actually got a texture to it. #StarTrek #Picard #startships

My computer was angry at me for doing these viewport renders.... It's finally chilled out now. These are nowhere near the level of quality that we used in production. These are tests to show off the detail inside #Spacedock. #StarTrek #Picard

How did I light the nacelles's bussard collectors on the Enterprise D? I started w/ a texture that emitted light, with a piece of geo over it for refraction and depth, & then a bunch of lights aimed in multiple directions to give it a specific glow and throw pattern. #startrek #vfx #behindthescenes

Here's a close up of the observation lounge on the #Enterprise-D from #StarTrek #Picard Season 3. The back wall where they used to have the gold ships is different. I placed a photo of our #VFX team in there. We ended up hiding it more for final because we didn't want to upset the powers that be.
