A cold, sunny and therefore brisk walk through North Leigh to St. Mary Church (favourite photo features my Connemara mare Faye) as morning service ended. Our neighbour, retired Tower Captain, invited up to the 11C Bell Tower with the opportunity to ring the heaviest bell.

Residents of Dean have erected placards protesting against the arrival of American vice-president J.D. Vance in the tiny West Oxfordshire village. They say that they are “extremely angry”, but that the police presence which has sealed off the village has made a “proper protest” impossible.

Here’s a song about #Signalgate – the flamboyant US security breach – adapted from one of our all-time fave Bee Gees songs, titled “You Were Not Supposed to Message it Through!”

A quick turnaround, but only 5 of us as Alfie (really our best fake Bee Gee) is away 🔥👊💪🙏🎶

One reason why I think respectability is stupid is because it's often used as a mask. Such judgements are rarely about the clothes themselves, but more often about the bodies beneath them. To wit, no one raised an issue when Elon wore a graphic t-shirt and ball cap to meet the Trump cabinet.
