Interesting point. In my observation, social media UX, while in its early stages of development gets heavily influenced by the usability patterns of early adopters.

Later on, at the growth stage and driven by monetization goals, the UX is almost entirely driven by algorithms of higher engagements.

Add some more context. Bad alignment of what? Texts? Margins?

IMHO, conversion in design is often a complete cycle, with multiple elements playing important roles.
