22) 'Mary Robinson Nee Darby (1757-1800) - E. Leigh Bonds
This was a dry read but a really good resource for critical, biographical and publication history. Looks like an immense amount of research due to the sheer volume of work on Robinson that the author summarises here!

21) 'Charlotte Dacre (c.1772-1825) - Jeffrey Cass
Another in the same series as the above essay on Bannerman (in the Routledge Handbook of Romantic Women Writers). I feel like we get a fuller sense of debates around the authors work here but perhaps only because there is more work on her

20) 'Anne Bannerman (c. 1780-1829) - Matthew J. Heilman
A short but solid introduction to Bannerman's biography, publication history and critical reception. A good source to set you on the path to further research. I would have been interested to see Heilman's own readings or thoughts on the poetry

Job 24 - Another interview!
We're looking outside of academia again for this one and the interview intriguingly contains an 'object-based' activity. Intrigued and excited!

I maintain that it's the worst paced of all her books. Give me the vaudeville repetitions of Castles, the frenetic energy of A Sicilian Romance, the stunning opening to Romance, the tortuous thrills of the Italian, even the lengthy descriptions of Gaston. Just spare me the first 100 pages of Udolpho

The absolute state of how much time we have to spend with Valancourt while Montoni is shuffled off the mortal coil in what barely amounts to a note.

19) 'A Tale of Three Lucys: Wordsworth and Bronte in Kincaid's Antiguan Villette' - David Yost
A solid interrogation of 'Lucy' by Jamaica Kincaid and its relationship to Villette and Wordsworth's Lucy poems. Some really nice close-reading insights I hadn't picked up on before!

A brief but solid interrogation of the relationship between Jane Eyre and Rebecca focused on the relationships between Jane and Bertha and the unnamed narrator and Rebecca. Had me thinking new thoughts!
