You clearly haven't read the Vampire Chronicles. I know all of that. I've read Dracula. Dracula is still no match.

I hold out hope for medical advances. My chronic pain is from arthritis and an injured knee.

I hope we might find a way to stop arthritis and fix MY knee (knee replacement is a last resort).

I'm hopeful, but also realistic and prepared for the long haul.

It's not gonna just "get better."

I speak from experience as well. Physical pain with untreated mental illness is a recipe for personal disaster.

Fortunately, all of that is under control now.

I hear you. I suffer from chronic arthritis pain in my back and knees.

But rest assured, drug addicts are in pain. It just might not be of the physical variety.

I would consider myself a slightly left of center libertarian. I do love capitalism with checks in place.

But we need two things to level the playing ground for those born behind a decent starting line.

A safety net free healthcare system and a free state university system.

I'm a Christian, but my foster mother was a Wiccan, and she was one of the most loving and wise people I've ever met.

She taught me to do what I will as long as it hurts no one and it's sticks with me to this day. She accepted my faith, and I accepted and learned hers.
