In case anyone is interested, the wordmark on NaNoWriMo completely runs out next year. The one for National Novel Writing Month is good until 2031. Not that I really think they’d bother to sue for it at this point.

So I looked up #NaNoWriMo on Charity Navigstor and looks like their delinquency finally caught up to them

Charity Navigator does have budgets and spending info, and this is the current graph for #NaNoWriMo. If they file for 2024 that’s gonna be a really sorry-looking bar considering they raised about $164k last I checked.

For reference, this is the comment left on the #NaNoWriMo FB page that was disappeared. Nothing inflammatory, nothing unreasonable, just a person asking about the tax info of a charity they might be donating to. Incredible.

I’m honestly surprised this was still up when I saw it (don’t know if it still is, it was a few hours ago). With how quick they’ve been deleting anything even mildly critical, Lucia should’ve been Taken Care Of quicker than this #NaNoWriMo

#NaNoWriMo posted something new on their Facebook page earlier today. As someone who was a guest blogger for them in the past, it’s bizarre to see them just linking to someone else’s content, content that is in no way related to the program or #Preptober. Guess they couldn’t get anyone this year.

Well, it’s official, #Scrivener is still sponsoring #NaNoWriMo despite all that’s gone down. Think for now I’ll go back to the basics and use Pages.
