It was about 10 years old. Rust issues are very common in my region due to heavy salt usage to clear snow and ice on roads. It can cause a lot of cars to rust quickly

Yeah my state is actually doing away with them next year, but from what the mechanic showed to me and explained to me it was pretty dangerous.

I had to get a loan. Definitely didn't have money saved up for a new car.
