I think it’s mostly how they have been perceived through the centuries that interests me. It tells a lot about an era how they see past civilisations. Like the Victorians esteemed the Romans greatly because of their notions of Empire. However, they had a very different bias than we have today!

In my hostel bed. I could only afford a bed in a hostel at some point to be able to go to work and spent many nights working on my novel there!
