Just on the (absultely fully packed) train home from Selby where the three Yorkshire mayors have signed the "White Rose Agreement".

As my plan to have a seat on the train fell apart, the story will be written up and published a little bit later today.

I started this morning at the "notoriously dangerous" junction of Sheldon Road and Sandford Grove Road where a dazzle of zebras tried to raise awareness of road safety.

Looking forward to 'The Brutalist' where Adrien Brody plays "László Tóth, a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survives the Holocaust and emigrates to the United States".

Interesting fact that Brody's mother was born in Budapest and moved to New York in 1958.

The rough morning for (Sheffield) Labour continues: as my LDR colleague Julia Armstrong reports, the Liberal Democrats won the Woodhouse by-election by 10 votes ahead of the Reform UK candidate. Labour came only third.

Louise Haigh, the Sheffield Heeley MP, has resigned as transport secretary over a criminal conviction in her past "after she incorrectly told police that a work mobile phone was stolen in 2013".

I was at Ecclesall Library today where a new mural has been unveiled.

It sure will turn heads (tbf it already is).

So this week those involved with the 'Beds for Babies' scheme in South Yorkshire have celebrated a milestone.

They estimated that they have helped nearly 1,000 children in the first five months of the project.

The plan is to help every child under 5 in SY with a bed/cots/cotbeds and more.
