All this to say that the whole thing just feels hyperbolic. Totally fair to say it's sad when a game you're excited for is going to cost a lot, and maybe you decide you won't buy as many AAA games as you normally would. But that does not make it some huge catastrophe, or even really any catastrophe.

Moreover - people act like the existence of some expensive video games is totally insane when like, that's how most industries work! Some shirts cost $10 but others cost $150. Ebooks can cost $.99 but a big coffee table book could be $100. It's pretty normal for markets to have a wide price range.

Video games are not food, or medicine, or housing. I greatly enjoy them and I'm glad so many people do as well! But people really need to take a step back and realize they are mostly just very complicated toys and it is not some huge crisis if some people cannot afford the most fanciest ones.

I'm curious, do you know if `-0` is the additive identity (instead of `+0`) solely because `-0` + `+0` = `+0`, or is there more to it?

I went last year and thought it was great, tho it was paid for by the studio so I can't say if it was worth the cost. But I went to some great talks, show floor had cool stuff, got to see the GDC/IGF awards, hung out with dev friends, etc. If ppl are saying it's terrible that seems a lil hyperbolic

oh i mean she's gonna lose for sure. but like, california has 8 mil left to count. washington has a couple million to count, etc. so i could see her lead narrowing to something less significant. its worth waiting until the results are settled to draw conclusions is all im sayin.
