We have to rebuild the UN. We cannot expect every country to build it's own defense force. With more and more weapons comes increased risk.

We should not condemn unilaterally or even as part of Europe. We should support the UN condemnation and if the UN is not strong enough - and it isn't - we should act to reform the UN from ground up as a matter of urgency.

Charles was right - great damage was done and we rue the day today. The "great powers" are ignoring the United Nations and have been since the Iraq war. The condemnation of Trump should come from United Nations. Liberal Democrats need to lead the way to renew reform and strengthen the UN.
