Without the written judgment, it is hard to properly assess the case. But Toby Young's comments suggest the case is not actually over yet.

Aside: It seems telling that Young appears to want licence for 'anti-Muslim hatred'. Swap 'Muslim' for 'Jew'.

OK this is interesting. It was already OK/legal to criticise the religion of Islam, but it seems a recent judgment has concluded that 'Islam-critical' belief is protected under the Equalities Act. That's what the Telegraph, GB News and the Mail are getting excited about.

Hannan becoming more extreme, probably egged on by his old friend, Douglas Carswell.

I don't think they used to be this extreme but they entered into a Faustian bargain years ago: they, 'the clever chaps', could ride/steer the less desirable part of the Right. Now they are steered by it.
