My grandpa was in a light anti-aircraft battalion in Normandy after the landing in 1944.
I went to Juno Beach in June and shed some tears imagining what pain he'd feel to see people (especially some Canadians) embracing Nazi ideology again 80 years later.
Chin and elbows up, Canada.
Lest we forget.

Weird headline choice for a program that (so far) has gotten 2.8 million people access to a dentist.

I love @grickle.bsky.social "doodles" so much. Almost every drawing has a character expressing some universal emotion. Rough day? Judging Frog is YOU.

Hi Brent,
I'm in Paris, seeing that City Hall is open to the public tomorrow, the exhibition is free, but requires a reservation that appears to booked up into next week? Am I reading this correctly?
(Even if I can't get in, the posters are worth stopping for...)

Saskatchewan is the global poster boy for cognitive dissonance.
The SK Party, the NDP, farmers, and the CBC are doing a bad job connecting energy choices to climate change, the obvious part of this kindergarten-level puzzle.
So, so embarrassing.

Rabbit hole!
Watched (and loved) this show as a kid. Like "The A Team", it's pure garbage when viewed with a mature brain.

Also, Google is broken. 3 of the 54 written reviews are 1 star, so rating should be only 95% at best.
(Still too high, unless viewers are all 11: "Yay! Cars and boobs!")

The unfairness of Canada's electoral system is on full display with Ford's win.
Conservatives get 43% of the popular vote, 65% of the seats, 100% of the power.
Liberals, with almost 600,000 more votes than the NDP, get ~half the seats.
57% of the electorate get no representation.

I am skeptical of any political outfit that has a name that sounds like nazi-speak and can't spell.

Idiocracy looks too optimistic at this point.

Businesses are only powerful if people buy their products.
Want to stop Trump? Bankrupt his oligarch buddies. Refuse to consume products that profit his supporters. Shop local. Subscribe to alternative providers.

Just finished Dune: Prophecy. Can't wrap my head around the relatively poor critical reception. Solid writing, acting, visuals, tie in to successful movie franchise.
In comparison to Silo, which has no coherent storyline (that I can discern), it seems grossly underappreciated.

I genuinely feel bad for people who
a) can't experience winter, or
b) don't appreciate winter.
