Humour is the best remedy and satire makes it happen.
Wellness won't make it better.
"Australian scientists debunk Trump's claims linking paracetamol to autism"
Do we really need Channel 9 News to feed us the bleeding obvious?

2/ Vietnam.
Betrayal of vaunted moral politics, ethics, and US power.
Skip Afghanistan, Iraq, let's move on to Venezuala?
I assume Greenland, Panama and Canada are forgotten?

1/ America claims a unified culture, but in fact is so diverse?
It's not all apple pie?
I would really like to know what it was we all grew up to believe was great about America!
It was cowboy movies, music (blues and rock), the glitter of glamour and money as portrayed by Hollywood.
Then...

As an Australian trying hard to understand US politics, can anyone tell me why voting district redistribution in Texas is so morally wrong, but voting for Prop 50 in California to do the same thing is the right response?

What happens when you build a huge gold-laden ballroom in a swamp?

"A jury awarded Abby Zwerner $10 million after she was shot by a 6-year-old student."

Well, at least in America you can sue if you get shot at school?

Has satire of US degenerated into sarcasm?
There's a bitterness in the humour?
Cynicism definitely. Possibly despair.

Should America try the European way? where one in eight are NOT reliant on "foodstamps" and all get free healthcare! What's wrong with that?
They will however have to tax billionaires and corporations.
Too radical for America?
38tn debt cannot be the answer!

With "$22trn in tariffs by the end of this year" (Trump, today, in S. Korea), America will soon be debt free! and able to provide free healthcare to all its citizens, free education to all its children, a living wage to all its workers, new infrastructure, safe environment, cheap renewable energy?

Bondi said.. the committee found "a cover-up of the president's cognitive decline... My team is reviewing Biden's reported use of autopen for pardons"

Hasn't she watched Trump's reception in Japan? Witnessed latest tariffs? Seen who's been pardoned lately?
This is Alice in Wonderland stuff!

Mining lease approval invariably requires at least minimal environmental standards - re pollution, degradation of farmland, destruction of wildlife habitat, water supply, etc.

We have seen so many leases approved on this basis - which is good! - has anyone ever seen Govt. enforce those conditions?

It does seem strange that Hegseth needs a missile cruiser, several destroyers, a nuclear submarine, assault landing craft, logistical back-up and 10,000 soldiers to "patrol the coast of Venezuala for drug boats"???

Did anyone see the video of Trump being received and welcomed, steered around, by the new PM of Japan?
Have you ever seen anything more embarrassing, more bizarre?

Why is the USS Gravely, a guided missile destroyer, in Trinidad and Tobago?
"For joint military exercises".
"What military assets do Trinidad and Tobago contribute?"
"Is this exercise in Venezualan territorial waters?"

Hegseth bans all information that incriminates the US.

China's top trade negotiator, Li Chenggang, told reporters that the two sides had reached a “preliminary consensus," while Mr. Trump's treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, said there was “a very successful framework."

So wishful thinking on both sides, but no resolution?

When Bessent, a self-proclaimed soy bean farmer, negotiates a 'critical minerals' trade deal with Li (Chenggang - chief trade negotiator)- does he know that's not lithium?
And is he really a soy bean farmer? or just a banker?

Albanese revealed he gifted Trump a model submarine to mark his official Washington visit.
A token reminder, no doubt, of the many millions 'pre-paid' to AUKUS - to help US submarine constructors build up their capability before providing a sub for Australia?
Does Trump get irony?

How can America expect a people oppressed for decades, bombed for years, to welcome peace, when they return to a wasteland that was was once a vibrant city,
If it was me, if it was any American, I would never forgive, never forget. It will go on forever now?
