I wrote my undergrad thesis on them. Weirdly have owned the domain twice now, picked it up in the early 2000s, let it lapse after a few years, then snapped it back up again about 12 years ago or so.

A wearable won't be good enough in terms of user experience and glasses won't have the battery life -- and besides they'd have to be tethered to a phone anyway.

That was generally my experience on Threads when I was on there as well, to be honest. It's definitely bigger and the algorithm for discovery is different. Just Threads seems more self-contained?
