Added 4 way trampoline block. Jump higher when jumping off. Get pushed downwards if bonking. Get knocked back if running into. Will probably use a different graphic, but at least it animates nicely. Also may have a variant that auto pops you up.
Also added some foreground tiles.

I added conveyor belts! Inspired by the conveyor platforms of SMB2 and 3. Always a fun obstacle to deal with in a game. Ideally, enemies and objects will also be affected. Also, switches that affect their direction and speed are in the works. Hope you enjoy.

Moving platforms are deceivingly hard to implement properly. I'm sure I will have to return to them when I add more systems to the game, but for now, they work™

Added a new ability. Butt Stomp! I think I want to add butt stomp only enemies and sections where you need to fall fast and you need to stomp to get vertical speed. Debating if I want to allow cancelling of stomp mid fall.

Slow but steady progress. Added Powerup Items and implemented Double Jump. Can jump after stepping off cliff. Note: player max jump height increases while running.

I am making a platformer game. Inspired by games of my youth. 8 bit retro style. I enjoy watching retro game speedrunners. I am aiming to make a game they would enjoy playing.

Made a basic movement engine. The graphics are all original and WIP. Walk, Run, Variable Jump, Thru Platforms.
