Remember that conversation we had on the video call about parity in the league that’s SEATTLE. If they don’t play a perfect game the score that San Jose beat them by last night could’ve easily been the Blackhawks the other night. It’s just so interesting on teams are so close like that.

So I am all for second chances in fact our country was built on many chances. we’re all mistakes waiting to happen. that said he can coach whatever the thing that is interesting to me is he said this on numerous occasions yet read the report. That’s a bit more than just not questioning things.

 that is one interesting trade. he is one of those players that I rarely have ever seen him not score a really skill goal but he is so all over the place and always hurt. good job by the Kraken getting rid of a mistake.

Richard as usual great article about that ESPN. think ESPN is almost kind of become like MTV. MTV started out with music now ESPN is almost like the same. They don’t really do sports anymore they do other than things about sports. I don’t know anyways great article.

for the league. Like you mentioned in the article I think with this will do it’ll help hockey development in the US, which is already really on a high note and most people that watch this and then watch an NHL game with a lot of mediocre teams this year I’ll kind of wonder but again great article.

@saracivian.bsky.social First off grt piece. your writing is trancendent. this is my two cents don’t think these games will really help the NHL. The ratings are in the tank yet They have record revenues because I don’t think eyeballs really matter as much as they used to. It’s almost an ego stroke

you are spot on.liken this to a much lesser extent of watching soccer wc and then watching mls. As someone that had not watched alot of that sport it was a shock to me. Plus this season nhl has been really alot of .500 and some grt matchups but alot of meh. Thanks for answering. love your work.

record rev and ratings way down do not you think that maybe in the true digital world ratings have become more ego than actual indication of success? Feel like this tourney will benefit usa hockey more than anything.

Loved your convo with Linda Schulz about hockey. The thing I have never understood about espn getting hockey again is it feels like the same ppl that were involved with hockey at espn in the early 2000s were pulled out of the storage unit along with the studio. Seemed lazy? would appr your thoughts?
