Yes, it sounds “out there”, but not so long ago a lot of the actions undertaken recently were considered inconceivable. Troops on American soil, ICE abductions, the Supreme Court essentially ruling that trump is above the law, the blatant corruption…

Trump praised Duterte for an “unbelievable job on the drug problem”. There were thousands of extra-judicial killings while Duterte was in office. My concern is that Trump’s actions now are priming the pump for a later acceptance of similar extra-judicial killings on U.S. soil.

I‘ve always used wooden clothespins (lightweight), but binder clips do have that paper advantage.

Denying them further exposure by blocking them is its own kind of satisfaction. And better for your mental health.

Back in the day you’d know to flip up the handle because you’d seen everyone else doing it. If you had never seen one before, there’s nothing that indicates that the handle flips up. The pump on/pump off directions are inadequate. Sometimes figuring it out means asking for assistance. She did fine.

“Barely legal” would be just turned 18. I question the judgment of whoever this person was that characterized 15 as barely legal. Two to three years shy of the age of consent in NY and FL is nowhere near “barely legal”.

That’s exactly what he suggested.

I was wondering where that weird equivalence of fraud as people not filing claims came from, and found it originated with a think tank called Paragon Health Institute. Here’s an article debunking Paragon. www.aha.org/news/blog/20...
Setting the Record Straight: Separating Fact from Fiction on Health Insurance Marketplace Fraud | AHA News
It is imperative that policymakers understand that Paragon developed their allegations of large-scale “fraud” in health care using inaccurate data, dubious assumptions, and an apparent lack of underst...

Rich man who has never been concerned about the cost of healthcare (and likely has never had the need for health insurance) has opinions.

I gotta admit, the concept of a villages without the drinking and partying and stds could be appealing … a place where people are sociable but not in everybody’s business. A villages for introverts, if you will. Oh, I think I’ve just described New England.

I got my first one in my 20s, have no idea how I got on that list. Actually made it easier to ignore the onslaught of crap as I got older since I’d been ignoring it for quite awhile already.

I respect that you do not over-sensationalize when presented with out of context info. We all need tocheck the context and be aware of cherry-picking, particularly on video snippets. i resent anyone trying to manipulate me into outrage. The simple facts about trump are damning enough.
November 8, 2025 at 2:54 PM
I’ve done the same with other out of context snippets, I understand. I’ve been in the office when the first responders arrive, and people move out of the way but stay focused on the situation until it’s resolved. His response, the turning away, was not normal. That’s where I disagree.
November 8, 2025 at 2:50 PM
I’ve had someone collapse in my office. There were a variety of responses - people trying to help, people that were upset, people concerned but staying out of the way - but anyone who was there when it happened didn’t just turn away while the person was still on the floor.

I, too, checked the video to get the context of the photo. Moving out of the way is one thing, but just turning away and standing there facing away while the guy is still prone on the floor in his own office with people clustered around him … there’s something lacking in him.
November 8, 2025 at 2:27 PM
I watched the video. It’s worse. He did look over; he didn’t express concern, he didn’t tell his staff to get help … then he turned away. He said nothing and did nothing. In essence, he turned his back on the guy and the people helping him.
