saw it last night (had a busy last week, so it took me a minute), then saw it again tonight on an imax screen. it is an amazing jolt. it's jawdropping--sprawling and yet incredibly coherent. and for leo to be in this just after killers of flower moon(!), but all the performances just left me floored

of Quaker writings, the one I've recommended and gifted the most over the years is Mary Rose O'Reilley's The Love of Impermanent Things: A Threshold Ecology. I think you'd enjoy it, if you haven't read it already.

Ezra Klein loves to rag on organic food because it's not healthier. But I don't buy organic because it's healthier, I buy it because it's more sustainably farmed, by (marginally) more equitable businesses. I take the same approach to cotton. It's not a better shirt, but maybe more sustainably grown?
