I think this is probably my biggest failure as a DM. I forget sometimes that I know all about the rooms and the players don’t. So I’ll describe the major things in a room: furniture, people, etc. I forgot to describe the little things that make a room a room.

Agreed. Finally giving up on X was hard but definitely not something I regret. X was just doom scrolling for me. So far not that way for me here.
