Anybody going to MHA from Salt Lake or Utah counties, and want to carpool?

"The worth of souls is great in the sight of God" is a powerful theological concept. It refutes the idea of only a small group of elect being saved, and instead pushes more for universalism, or at least pluralism.

So Utah is close to being the first state to ban putting fluoride in the drinking water. Which means they're probably not going to like my proposal to put Beano in the drinking water.

I did a tough workout tonight, and it made it so I could barely scoop my ice cream afterward.

I can't explain it, but today while I was driving into the office, the words, "When I say 'hello, Mr. Thompson,' and press down on your foot, you smile and nod," just burst into my mind like they had never left.

My videos are starting to pick up a little bit of traction on TikTok, so yeah, time to shut it down.

My faith tradition does not include having godparents, so I don't know much about that. And based on the first results in Google Image searches, I have concluded that a godfather and a godmother are very different things.

Can I cite Family Search as a source, for dates (birth, marriage, etc.)?

I can't remember the last time my ward had a sacrament meeting that didn't have a missionary farewell or homecoming. #utah #culture

Like those spicy pepper-eating contests, but contestants eat items that are increasingly sweet until only one person remains

Hot take: If you're having a missionary homecoming/farewell with lots of family coming, have them all sit in the back, out of the way of those who have come to worship.

What's going to happen when Pentatonix runs out of Christmas songs? Are they just going to start over?
December 16, 2024 at 8:47 PM
Have we gotten a Scrooge/Grinch collab? It seems like together they could stop Christmas from coming

Mariah Carey becoming synonymous with only Christmas blows my mind.

She has the second-most #1 hits of all-time, trailing only the Beatles (the Beatles had 20, Mariah has 19).

She is #1 for U.S. album sales for a female artist.

She was a megastar. All year round.

I'm looking for a tool that will let me take an entire text (say, the Book of Mormon), and then tag portions of the text for filtering. For instance, I might want to filter it down to text that is 1) about faith, and 2) from before Christ's appearance to the Nephites. Does this kind of tool exist?

My latest post... I feel like this history has been expunged. But it also seems like we need it more than ever. www.rogerpimentel.com/p/tim-ballar...

At the center of it all is our willingness to accept ideas simply because they come from another member of the Church.

Started watching The West Wing again. I love that show so much. It portrays a fictional, fantasy world where the U.S. government is functional.

Who's going to be at the Restore conference this week? Would love to connect in person with some of y'all like-minded individuals.

My thoughts coming out of General Conference this time around. I know it was an especially tough one for some of my friends.
Why is General Conference so long?
There could be a few reasons. But I have a new answer that helps me appreciate Conference more—even when I don't resonate with every talk.

I'm open-minded, but does anyone know what this means? Or what source they would be referencing? I can't find anything in the man's FamilySearch sources that would make sense here.

Feels less likely that we get any dramatic announcements today if President Nelson is not there. #ldsconf

No question that Bluesky has the worst icon of any social media app ever. Did I even download the right thing? It looks fake.
