From Congress to law firms, corporations and universities have now folded to Trump. All we have left is “citizen passive resistance.” In your own way provide no services to federal agencies or national guards. No food, shelter, water or bathrooms. They will need to survive on their own.

Hegseth just said there will be “no fat commanders.” Does this mean that the Fatty Commander in Chief must resign?

The Roberts Court, with its decision permitting racial profiling in ICE raids, will stand in the annuals of SCOTUS beside the Dred Scott decision authored by Justice Taney, that ignited national controversy and heightened tensions, ultimately contributing to the outbreak of the Civil War.

In honor of the demonstrators the resistance against Trump should be called “The Deli Wars.”

Why not let AI draw all the districts in each state? Base the district on cohesion of municipal & county lines, major geographic areas (rivers, mts) highways/ bridges/ railroads. This would make the voters feel more confident that the voters in a district have similar needs with little politics.

Dems, the phrase of the day is “Import TAXES.” If Republicans were arguing against tariffs they wouldn’t call them by a name that sounds arcane. GOP would call tariffs “import taxes.” Republicans know the negative synapses fire in the brains of Americans when they hear the word TAX. IMPORT TAX.

The Tax Bill holds off on Medicaid cuts until Dec of ‘26. Dems’ big message is the impact of these cuts. But if they don’t come until after the midterms voters will not feel it and will accept the MAGA argument that Dems are just lying. Will the message work?

Looking at the NYC Democratic primary race it appears you can get elected as what I see as “democratic social-capitalist.” Def: one who believes in democracy as the necessary underpinning to permit the government to soften barriers that inhibit individual capitalist.

If we bomb Iran, isn’t that a declaration of war? This is not a case of the US being attacked and requiring an immediate response. Trump has time to ask Congress. Can an expert explain how this Congressional Constitutional power has disappeared? Could Trump be impeached for acting without a vote?

The soldiers in the Trump Birthday parade walked and didn’t march in step. Anyone find that interesting?

TWP OPINION Natasha Sarin: It is hard to articulate a comprehensible justification for ballooning the federal debt in service of saving fewer lives.
June 10, 2025 at 3:05 AM
TWP: Republican Party has made its singular legislative mission passing a bill that simultaneously manages to increase deficits by trillions over the next decade and takes away health coverage from millions of Americans, resulting in earlier deaths for tens of thousands of them.

I was surprised to hear education people question why the government should give Harvard money so foreign students could go the college. They didn’t know the gov pays university researchers to do government research and some of the students may be foreign. That research belongs to the US.

Republicans decided to cut $500 Billion in Medicare cuts. Largest cuts ever to Medicare. Trump will lie about it but CBO just confirmed the cuts. But Musk will get a tax cut.

Prediction: nothing will stop Trump from getting the “big beautiful (bribe) plane.” One, all security concerns will be brushed aside. He’ll waive all those. Two, the plane is now sitting at a US airport base in TX. Three, Republicans in Congress will not stand up to him.
May 14, 2025 at 4:21 PM
How is a $400 million plane not a bribe?

Boys and girls the word for today is:
Immiseration
The process of making people, a country, or an organization poor.
Synonyms — Trump, MAGA, gutless Republicans.

DOGE has reversed course on a number of cuts in the Federal Government.
Now I’m waiting to see
ONE DOJ prosecution for “fraud.”
ONE Inspector General prosecution for “waste.”
ONE Congressional. Hearing of Agency “abuse.”
All I’ve seen is an effective government hobbled for a PR stunt.

It appears that there was a lot of “Trump Derangement Syndrome”(TDS.) But the people with TDS were those who trusted this Trump of many bankruptcies.

It’s too long a time before Trump can be voted out of office. He cost all of us $6 trillion, alienated our friends and befriends our enemies. Political leaders, and citizens should demand Trump resign.
He will not do it tomorrow but we need to ask him every minute of every day till he does.
April 5, 2025 at 3:49 AM
Trump is talking as if he can just invade Canada or Greenland. Democrats should say the President can’t act without a declaration of war. To do otherwise is a violation of the Constitution and it’s an impeachable offense. Don’t let it become something he just starts doing. War is up to Congress.
March 29, 2025 at 10:04 PM
After 60 days of DOGE cutting and rummaging through the Federal Government I’ve yet to see any substantial waste, no documented fraud and the only abuse coming from a reckless administration. I would say the story now should be DOGE has proven we have an effective and efficiency government.

Sorry that I don’t yet know how to update but we could ask for:
All vets rehired NO exceptions
All employees and cuts to Medicaid Medicare and SOCIAL SECURITY restored. These might have the broadest acceptance. Any push would put the people vs Trump.
WE THE PEOPLE RESIST

Do we need a National Strike?
Q1. How long? One day? One week?
Q2. Will strikers be blamed for the Trump recession?
Q3. What is the ask?
Musk DOGE fired? Restore all fired Fed employees ?
