Trump's "anti-drug" strikes are throwing the dead cat on the table to distract from the imminent Damocles' Sword about to drop when Congress reconvenes and requires the release of the Epstein files. I predict that the day the vote is taken Trump will launch an all-out attack on Venezuela.

If Trump wasn't President/Dictator, he'd be in jail with his pal Ghislaine serving a 20-year sentence. Most likely it was these sex crimes that were his strongest motivator to run for the highest office (with its promise of immunity) since all the other stuff is relatively minor in comparison.

Europe should close its borders entirely to Russians, aside from those who want to defect and fight for Ukraine and/or provide intelligence. The Russian people are not feeling the hardship as Putin uses oil profits to insulate the populace from the economic reality. Shut the embassies as well.

Sorry, but "gutting the ACA" is not so much about Republicans' "disdain for Obama". That is a red meat talking point for MAGA simps and Trumpistas to deflect from the GOPs real purpose: to pad the profits of the health insurance companies, who were dead set against the ACA from Day 1.

If all 6.5 million U.S. mortgages issued annually were 50-year loans, borrowers would collectively pay ~$18.3B more in interest each year. This is quite small relative to the overall mortgage market (~$12.6 trillion) but it ensures that borrowers are kept in thrall for even longer.

Ah yes, excellent plan for predatory lending companies to strengthen their stranglehold over American homeowners for even longer than they do already. Switching from a 30-year to a 50-year mortgage on a $250,000 home at 5% adds about $56,343 in total interest, or roughly $2,817 per extra year.

Junk science? It's profoundly undemocratic. States with both voter ID requirements AND signature verification for include: Georgia, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Ohio, & Colorado. And yet we accept this as "normal" when in reality it is simply predatory capitalism protecting its cultural hegemony.

Consider the man who collapsed, Gordon Findlay, global brand director for Ozempic manufacturer Novo Nordisk. Not that I'd wish ill on Mr. Findlay, but when your company sells out to an administration that is trying to roll back healthcare coverage for millions, such events elicit little sympathy.
