Our rights are not enumerated in the bill of rights (see #9) to be parsed by lawyers and judges. They all describe a general freedom from dominace by unrepresentative powers.The founder's described *some* in context of their experiences, but loosely described so we could apply them in our context.

Liberty is not a free-for-all. It is not absence of interference, it is freedom from dominance by others. The constitution is clear that we can and should impose restraints on ourselves through democratic institutions for the benefit of the whole community. Our government is our self.

The constitution was a mission statement in opposition to laye stage feudalism where the powerful dominate the population and use power to accumulate more power. It says the people are supreme and carefully carves up sources of power among different institutions (make laws, enforce, judge).
