Made the plot field. If you don’t know that they’ve actually made the playoffs every year for the last decade or so following 2 cup wins, then why use them as a dumb example. That’s the point, they won 2 cups, then they started declining but were still competitive

So then It actually comes down to skilled management, not deep pockets. I don’t actually understand the argument you’re trying to make, so salary cap is a bad thing? Look at European soccer leagues, you have salary limits and relegation.

The salary cap is an issue, the product on the field is another issue. With 240 characters it’s not exactly possible to write a thesis. Viewership declined because games were long and boring, so they made some changes to speed them up.

Viewership declined by 32% between 2019/2020 so the question is, is it back to where it was pre 2019. But those are just my opinions, no reason to back down from them now is there. You like it and I don’t, you watch it and I won’t. That’s the beauty of freedom of choice.

And yet the point I’m making is about the entire season rather than just the final. The final will mask the problems a while longer because it was exciting, by baseball standards. But ultimately, MLB is predictable and not competitive, with over 75% of the league as window dressing.
