Well, it turned out there had been a slow leak from the water heater and it had basically run along the lines and into the sub floor and rotted it out with no one the wiser til I went thru the floor

No firemen were called. But the second time was right thru the kitchen floor of a trailer house, so I ended up stuck in floor joists, and had to be hauled out by like 3 ppl
